How did you become a Christian?
As a child I was associated and involved in Church, however when I was 10 years old my relationship with Jesus got real and personal at that point. When I was 10, I developed an infection in my optical nerve that caused me to go completely blind. During that experience, while in St. Jude's Hospital in Texarkana, AR with doctors, nurses, and family coming in and out of my room puzzled by this illness that was more common in older white females; my dad came in the room and told me, "sure everyone is praying for you but son you must pray and have a relationship with Jesus yourself." At that point I ask Jesus into my heart and after he worked a miracle, I was then baptized.
What do you do for free time?
In my free time, I love to spend time with my wife and wrestling with our kiddos. My wife and I are huge fans of our DVR and we love spending time together catching up on our weekly shows and we also frequent the Redbox as well.

What’s the craziest job you’ve ever had?
As a high school student I had the blessing and the curse of being employed with the Texas Department of Transportation (Highway Department). I was the guy standing in the middle of the highway with the bright yellow vest with an orange flag; flagging in bound and out bound traffic in the scorching Texas heat, not to mention the heat coming off the hot pavement. In spite of the bright colors of the flag and the vest, no one sees you... ever, and what the department doesn't tell you is that you are really the "speed bump" for those that are really working.. This job was the convincing piece that college was certainly going to be for me...
Favorite Bible verse?
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
What brought you to Connect Church?
I felt that God was in my discussion to be a part of a progressive, blood bought and Bible teaching and believing Church. I had a working relationship with Keith prior to coming to Connect and knowing his heart and his vision for God's will, I was honored to be apart of a Ministerial team to do God's business everyday all day!
